Deepen your cultural understanding of Yoga.’ \nBecoming a yoga teacher takes commitment\, dedication and willingness to live the yogic principles. The yoga teacher is the disciple as well as the example. \nThis 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course\, certified by Yoga Alliance USA\, teaches prayer\, pranayama\, Surya/ Chandra Namaskar\, in-depth traditional hatha yoga asana\, Vedic chanting\, Karma Yoga\, and Bhakti Yoga. Students will study the Bhagavad Gita and Paatanjali’s Yoga Sutras\, and develop a teaching methodology with opportunities for self-practice to deepen understanding\, discipline and teaching skills. This course on Tattva Bodha is an introduction into the study of Vedanta\, the practical path to self-realisation and liberation (moksha).  Tattva Bodha\, a basic work of Adi Shankaracharya ji\, literally means the knowledge of truth. This course will go through Tattva Bodha verse by verse\, helping us reflect on applying this wisdom practically into our lives and will include twice a day Yoga Asana classes\, meditation by the holy banks of Mother Ganga\, morning walks in addition to yagna\, the Ganga Aarti\, evening satsang to make it a beautiful immersive experience providing the teaching as well as the touch of this sacred wisdom.

DESCRIPTION:September 3rd – 16th\, 2023\n\n\n\n\nIn collaboration with Prafull Oorja\, Parmarth Niketan Ashram is offering a 2 week Yoga Teacher Training program for Vulnerable Communities. \nUtilizing yoga philosophies and practices to empower and heal members of vulnerable communities\, this program includes 35  hours of theory\, activities\, demos\, and interactive sessions and 15 hours of observations and practical sessions with communities in vulnerable conditions. Participants will have a sense of satisfaction and joy; and a set of tools to engage communities. We will address several communities\, including multiple conditions of special needs children; rural women; prison communities; children with cancer; HIV+; mentally challenged adults; trauma survivors; and more. \nYou will receive a Certificate with Yoga Alliance Continuing  Education Program (YACEP); Full Manual with songs\, drawings\, and activities; a toolkit of unique teaching and presentation methods; 1 year of support to implement programs\, including monthly zoom calls\, and potential site-visits [within India] from Prafull Oorja Sangha and support! This is a great opportunity to network and learn from peers. \nPrerequisite: 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification or extensive knowledge of yoga philosophy and practices.
