SUMMARY:The Wisdom of Yog Vashistha
DESCRIPTION:The Wisdom of Yog Vashistha\nSeptember 11th – 15th\, 2026\nJoin us at Parmarth Niketan\, Rishikesh\, for a deeply reflective and transformative Yog Vashistha Retreat — an immersive journey into one of India’s most profound and timeless scriptures. Set on the sacred banks of Mother Ganga\, surrounded by the serene foothills of the Himalayas\, this retreat invites seekers to dive into the essence of self-knowledge\, inner freedom\, and the art of conscious living. \nThe Yoga Vashistha\, a dialogue between Sage Vashistha and Prince Rama\, explores the subtle truth that the world we perceive is a projection of the mind — and that liberation lies not in renunciation\, but in realization. Through guided study\, meditation\, satsang\, and silence\, participants are led to discover the wisdom that everything is consciousness\, and that peace is our true nature. \nInstructions in English \n

SUMMARY:Vedantic Path to Self-Realisation - 2
DESCRIPTION:Vedantic Path to Self-Realisation – 2\nNovember 14th – 23rd\, 2026\n\n\n\n\nThis beautiful 9 day course is an introduction into the study of Vedanta\, the practical path to self-realisation and liberation (moksha).  We will delve deep into the Self to find the solution to problems that the world presents to us for a path from illusion\, miseries\, sufferings and death to eternal happiness\, bliss and freedom. \nWe will study the basic Vedantic introductory text\, the Atmabodha and Ishavasya Upanishad\, which very clearly explain the purpose of life and the path of Sadhna. \nAtma Bodha literally means the knowledge of Self\, the real and permanent by discriminating from unreal or impermanent. As we study the AtmaBodha [a consciousness to distinguish between the material and spiritual dimensions of our life] we will reflect on applying this wisdom practically into our lives. \nIshavasya Upanishad is the 1st of the 11 main Upanishads having 18 verses derived from the 40th chapter of Shukla Yajurveda. ‘Isha’ literally means “ruler\, master\, lord”; ‘vasyam’ means “hidden in\, covered with\, enveloped by”. So\, the theme of this Upanishad is ‘Whence the God is hidden in or enveloped by’. Thence\, it takes us through the nature of truth and its application in practical life beautifully and lays down the path to realise That Universal Truth\, now and here itself. \nTo understand clearly the impact of the combination of our material life and spiritual journey\, this course becomes very important for everyone who is seeking eternal happiness\, bliss and freedom. \nEach day begins with yoga and yagna; includes meditation by the holy banks of Mother Ganga\, morning walks\, and\, ends with the world-renowned Ganga Aarti on the holy banks of Maa Ganga in the sacred lap of the majestic Himalayas followed by the spiritual Satsang with Pujya Sadhviji and/or Darshan with Pujya Swamiji [when they are available] providing a beautiful immersive experience of the sacred wisdom of Vedantic teachings. \nPlease note this program ends at 1 pm on the last day.  Do plan your departure from the Ashram accordingly preferably after lunch. \nDress Code:  Modest clothing in white that is not see-through which covers the upper arms\, cleavage and lower legs.
