The powerful influences of Lord Ram, Maa Durga and Lord Hanuman converge for three days during our Chaitra Navratri – Hanuman Jayanti celebrations along the holy banks of Mother Ganga. It commemorates the birth anniversaries of both Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman and also marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year and the start of the new life of the Spring season, so it’s a time of renewal…a time of hope…a time of rebirth…a time for fresh starts and new beginnings! It’s also the celebration of the victory of good over evil and commemorates the triumph of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura! Celebrating these most auspicious events at Parmarth Niketan, along the holy banks of Mother Ganga, is a beautiful way to honour our heritage and our culture as we celebrate the glory of the Divine.
